Merkinch Technology and Training Centre specialise in computer training, web design, office services and local community IT training. From our premises in the capital of the Highlands, the city of Inverness, we are well placed to deliver cost effective information technology solutions to clients throughout Scotland and the UK.

Just some of the services we provide are:

• Professional commercial computer training
• ESF funded computer training
• Web design and domain / domain name setup
• Cheap and reliable ADSL broadband internet access available from one of our 4 public access points - £1.00 per hour - minimum charge is £1.00
• Information technology / computer support
• Office Services such as typing, photocopying, scanning, public computer access etc.
• We are also a Life in the UK Testing Centre. See our Test Checklist page for more information.

Our computer training courses cover all the common Microsoft Office components and software such as:

Bespoke one-to-one computer training sessions can be arranged through our trainer, Martin McLauchlan, who can tailor the training course to your requirements. Companies or organisations can also hire our computer training suite if required. If you are interested please fill in our Information Request Form.

Merkinch Technology Centre is an accredited ECDL Test Centre. Course materials and exercises for each module are provided through us and can be worked through in your own time. For more details go to our training information page.

ILA Scotland (Individual Learning Accounts)

If you are over 18 and living in Scotland, you could get up to £200 towards the cost of learning new skills.
ILA Scotland is a Scottish Executive scheme which helps you pay for learning that you can do at a time, place, pace and in a way to suit you. For more information go to the Individual Learning Accounts Scotland homepage.

Merkinch Enterprise

Merkinch Enterprise is the umbrella organisation for the centre that includes other elements such as Fliperz Childcare Centre, or ESF Community Training Centre and the News & Views our community newsletter. The Merkinch Community have also set up a Community web site.
