NOW that the new electoral register has come into force, Merkinch Community Council is facing a real member-ship problem. For those members who have moved outwith the area can no longer sit on the council, which already struggles to meet official strength at the best of times. At their March meeting in Merkinch Community Centre, it was agreed to write to three of those concerned to thank them for their work.
