IN RESPONSE to a letter last month from Merkinch Community Council to the Chief Constable expressing dismay at the departure of CS Ramsay McGhee, Deputy Chief Constable Keith Cullen wrote to the CC to say that CS McGhee’s replacement, Superintendent Garry Sutherland would continue to build on the good liaison that CS McGhee had established with Merkinch.

Northern Constabulary was represented at the CC’s March meeting by Inspector Bruce Duncan who was attending on Superintendent Sutherland’s behalf.

Mr McGhee himself also wrote to the CC thanking all those who had helped him over the last two years and wishing the council every success in the future.
