Pike fishing: my favourite sport

LOTS of people like fishing; it’s a good sport. There are lots of kinds of fishing. Our favourite kind is pike fishing.

Pike are big fish. We have caught a lot of them. Our biggest was about four feet long. I did not keep the fish – it was too big for me to take home. I don’t think you can eat pike.

I’m not  very keen on salmon and trout.

We go fishing on Saturdays between April and August.

We get there by car, singing on the way. It takes about 30 minutes to get there then we set up the rods and all the other fishing stuff.

We fish for like two hours, and though we have food with us we don’t eat it all – most of the time we eat half of our food.

We go other kinds of fishing too, but I like pike fishing best because they are the biggest kind of fish you can get.

I like fishing a lot. We have a lot of fishing gear; we take it all with us as sometimes we lose hooks and that kind of stuff.
