Darts
star Sandy checks out
THE
Inverness darts scene lost one of its most popular and successful players when
Sandy Mackay died in the Highland Hospice last month at the age of 56.
Sandy
had played for a number of teams in Inverness over the years, but most recently
had been a favourite at the Portland.
Though
he had been ill for some time, he had continue to play until fairly recently.
One
of the highlights in Sandy’s long darts career was winning the Inverness
Doubles in 1971 and also winning the Individual Championship for the best single
player in all leagues.
