THE wild flower seed, which were scattered at Carnarc Point last year have come into bloom over the recent weeks. Particularly delighted by the show is Dell McLurg who was one of those instrumental in brightening up this patch of Merkinch: “The poppies in particular are just lovely,” she told News & Views.

Four benches are being erected – that is to say set in concrete – in the area. Merkinch Community Council helped raise the money for these and among the major donors were Inverness Harbour Trust and the Post Office.
