A LITTLE bit of rain doesn’t stop Merkinchers having fun, as was proved once again this year. For there is always someone kind around with an umbrella! Although the weather was rather cold and damp for the Gala Day celebrations, which were held in Clach’s Grant Street park, the rain spoiled no-one’s enjoyment and around £450 was raised for Merkinch Community Centre funds.
