SYLVIE Smith, wife of Lochalsh Road cobbler Jim Smith, has received a Certificate of Congratulation from the charity Macmillan Cancer Relief for her effort in the Macmillan Miles Challenge this summer. For Sylvie, accompanied by her dog Mitch, walked four miles in the countryside near her Farr home, thereby raising a magnificent £932 in the sponsored event which took place in June.

Husband Jim, a leading light in Merkinch Traders Association, and Sylvie want to thank all who supported her so wonderfully. The fundraising effort is in aid of the Macmillan Chemotherapy Unit being developed at Raigmore Hospital.
