GAEL Force Marine is set to open in mid-August what will be the largest marine megastore in the UK.

Based at Anderson Street, the store will stock some 15,000 items for the aquaculture, commercial fishing and leisure marine market, ranging from anchors and bilge pumps to sophisticated satellite navigation systems. Last month the firm was named Highlands & Islands Business of the Year 2001.
Following some fire damage last month - estimated to cost a five-figure sum to repair, according to managing director Stewart Graham - cameras and alarms have been installed at the site.
