A NEW saving scheme aimed at young people was opened by Inverness Credit Union last month. ICU's Dolphin Club was launched by Social Justice Minister Margaret Curran.
She said, "Junior savers schemes have a significant role to play in teaching young people to appreciate the value of money and how to manage and budget it.
This should help ensure that today's junior savers become the financially aware adults of the future. The importance of managing money effectively - for adults as well as children - should not be underestimated."
Those who join the Dolphin Club will be given their own savings card and encouraged to collect 20p dolphin stamps. The ICU is based at the Co-op in Telford Street.
