Hi there!
Hi there! Sad news from the youth club. Gill Maclennan, who has been working in the area for around 12 years, is leaving. Gill was very much involved in setting up mp33 at the beginning, and she will be very much missed. And so will Sandra Grant, who is unable to continue at the Youth Club on Monday nights due to other commitments -however the good news is that she will be able to come on Wednesday nights. We would like to thank them both for their commitment and dedication to the groups over the years and wish both of them all the best for the future. You will both be sorely missed, so please do pop in anytime you can! August kicks off with Gala Day on Saturday 2nd so do come along. In fact we are extending the fun for the rest of the week, and on Gala Day you can come along and register your interest. From Monday 4th we will be holding a range of activities for youngsters aged S1 upwards. We will finish the week on Saturday 9th August with a Fun Day at the West Field. You can get further details from mp33, so drop in and see what’s in it for you. Recently we held a quiz and entries were filled in by those attending mp33’s drop-in. Prizes were free tickets to the Inverness Highland Games and the Circus. Winner was Colion Hunter who got full marks and runner-up was Ryce Mackinnon. Well done both! The weather’s been great and all our groups have enjoyed a range of summer events. Remember, you can always drop in at No33 and see what’s going on. See you soon.

MP33’s Escape group is having a busy summer. Among the outings they have enjoyed are trips to Landmark, Rosemarkie beach, and the forst walk at Inverfarigaig. In August a day-long visit to Newtonmore folk museum is planned, leaving the Community Centre at 9.30 and returning at 4pm. On the 13th they plan a day at Nairn beach, and on Thursday 14th there is a one-day First Aid course. Pictured is the group enjoying a picnic in the sun - what could be nicer?
THE fishing group visited Loch Tarvie on 9th July for an evening which turned out very successfully - everyone caught TWO fish! It was good weather and warm too. Currently a summer trip is being planned for the members of the group who have attended regularly and been involved. This will be held in conjunction with the Duke of Edinburgh Awards.

AS WE went to press, a summer trip for 10 young people involved in mp33 activities was to set off for a two-day trip to Glasgow on 28/29th July. Spending overnight at a youth hostel, the group planned to visit the Science Centre and Hampden Park and Football Museum among other places of interest.
THERE was a 7-a-side football friendly event at Drumnadrochit Astroturf on 21st July, and those taking part were Smithton/Culloden, Drumnadrochit and mp33. The lads also had a barbecue to celebrate the start of a regular series of friendlies.
THE Skateboarding group visited Nairn park on 25th with a group from Drumnadrochit. Come and see the video that was shot-especially all you budding film directors!
IT IS hoped to start the trampolining group after the holidays. If you’re interested, please collect a consent form when the school goes back.
