Spotted recently at Merkinch Community Centre was this intrepid trio in summery garb of sunspecs, straw hats and Hawaiian shirts. It took three of them to escort Elsie Normington - but where were they going?
THE Singing for Pleasure Group, which meets every Tuesday evening at Merkinch Community Centre, decided to hold a party evening with a summery theme. The evening was a great success and members were delighted to hear shortly afterwards that they are to make their first appearance before the general public in Bellfield Park on Sunday 10th August from 2pm to 4pm in a sing-along.
Previously the singers have only sung before selected audiences at the Community Centre, at Kirk Care and at Falconer Court (not as previously reported Cameron House!) Pictured left are Fiona (left) and Margaret in summery hats, while center Marie goes for an Australian theme with enough corks around her hat to frighten off alligators, never mind the flies.
