TO clarify last month’s report on Trinity Church Brigade fundraisers: the Prize Bingo was for strictly for the Boys Brigade, who are saving up for their next trip to France. The coffee morning run by the Woman’s Guild was in aid of both Boys and Girls Brigades. Apologies for any embarrassment caused.

THE Merkinch Arms, which closed down a couple of months ago is currently up for lease at a rental of £10,000 a year. The Edinburgh firm handling the lease say there has been considerable local interest and they hope it will re-open in January.

Inverness High School continues to enjoy re-union fever. Last month more than 60 ex-pupils from the 1965 intake, met at the Loch Ness House Hotel. Now the 40/41-year-old former IHS pupils from the 1974 intake are planning a re-union in the Haugh Bar on Friday 5th December, from 7.30pm. Interested? Ring Helena Turnbull on 238942.
