Portland A and Uncle Bobs share A League top spot with hundred percent records

PORTLAND A and Uncle Bobs share top spot in the A League both with 100% records, according to latest reports when we went to press. Drouthy Duck are two points behind in third place.

In the B League there are only two points between Legion A in first place and Dows in fourth and the latter have played a game less than the three teams ahead of them.
Clachnaharry are two points clear at the top of the C League retaining their 100% record after a win over previously unbeaten Raigmore. Clach Club now join Raigmore in second place.
There was a good haul of maximum scores last week with Derek Maclean of Uncle Bobs and Grant Henderson of Portland B) getting two apiece with Derek notching his two in the same leg.

Also scoring 180s were Barry Maclean (Portland A), Gordon Morison (Portland A), Ian Morrison (Portland B), Joe Spence (Tarradale), Gil Graham (Tarradale), James Macmillan (Portland E), Barrie Mackay (Haugh), Ally Matheson (Drouthy Duck), Kenny Simpson (Drouthy Duck) and Duncan Munro (Dows). Alick Gilham (Caley Inn) had a 138 and a 115 check out Derek Maclean a 110 and Dougie Milne (Uncle Bobs) 109. Barry Maclean and Barrie Mackay both hit 13 dart legs and Gil Graham and Ian Morrison both had 14 darters.

League business goes on hold this week when the first and second round ties of the Supreme Cup takes place all teams are involved except Shots who have a bye. Results:

The previous week ...
Barry Maclean (Portland A) won his second A League Singles title at the Clach Club on 6th November beating team mate Stevie Falconer in the final which was a repeat of the 2000 Final which Barry also won.

This year’s beaten semi-finalists were Allan MacKinnon (Beaufort) and Robbie Mutch (Uncle Bobs).

The B League title was won by Stuart Pearce ( Legion A) who beat Ally McGinely (Shots) in the final. The losing semi finalists were Alex Fraser (Portland E) and Andy McMahon (Portland E).

Jim McNeil (Clachnaharry) beat Davey Morrison (Raigmore) in the C League final the losing semi finalists being Billy Palmer and David Hyslop both of Clachnaharry.

Stevie Falconer hit two 180s and the other maximum scorers were Scott Grant (Fluke), Davey Fraser (Drouthy Duck),Nigel McEwan (Beaufort), John Macleod (Haugh), Allan Fraser (Tarradale), Robbie Mutch (Uncle Bobs) and Ally McGinely (Shots).

Ally also checked out on 130 and 100 the other ton-plus finishes came from Billy Dickson (Tarradale) 119, Stuart Pearce (Legion A) 116, Grant Henderson (Portland B) 107, Trevor Hepburn (Legion A) 100 and Alex Fraser (Portland X) also 100.
