Welcome to December’s News & Views

So this is Christmas. Well not quite, but soon and for the rest of the year you’ll be humming to Slade and Bing Crosby, tripping over board game pieces and plucking tinsel out of everywhere tinsel should not be.

Here at the News and Views we have restricted the festive season to our regular kid’s page (thanks Fliperz) and our annual competition which could get you a free family sized ticket for Eden Court to see Peter Pan.

We are sure you are all rejoicing at Clachnacuddin’s recent win. There is just 18 months to go before they leave Grant Street Park which probably means neater car parking on match days but even fairweather footie fans can see the down side. If you want a place in history grab the chance to see some of the few remaining games on true Clach home ground.

Always trying to be different we’ve shunned memory lane for a trip down Grant Street to look at the changes which have taken place over the last twelve months. You will tell us if we have missed something out, won’t you?

If you are thinking about replying to a classified advert which appears to offer lots of money for easy work have a look at the story on page 3. Things are not always what we think they are and the News & Views thanks Tracy Noble for sharing her experience with us.

Thanks to everyone who helped this month. Please keep us up to date with what is happening down your way and remember if you have a story we want to hear about it. As always you can find the News and Views at No. 2 Grant Street.

So here it is, Merry Christmas and all the best for ‘99.
