THE highly successful tool club run in the South Kessock area for the last nine months is aiming to expand to cover the whole of Merkinch.
At a meeting to be held in Merkinch Community Centre on Thursday 10th February, it is hoped to set up a committee and agree a constitution for a Merkinch Tool Club.
Set up last May under the auspices of the South Kessock Community Safety Project, the tool club attracted almost 30 members from just a few streets.
It is felt that by expanding the idea to the whole Merkinch area the club, which is run entirely by volunteers, will be able to stand alone even when the safety project comes to an end.
Those interested should come along on Thursday 10th February at 7pm and see how the tool club works and how it can support the gardeners of the area.
