THE Highland Fliers – the winning team from the Highland Wheelchair Dancing Club – late last year took part in an International Festival in Glasgow and came home brimming with success. They won international titles in Team and Disco championships and for three ballroom couples. The 13-strong team also won 15 gold medals and five silver.

One of the team, Uisdean Macrae, is better known round Merkinch for his athletic success. Currently he is in training for the Scottish championships in Meadowbank.
