AS previously reported, in December Merkinch Enterprise became the 200th learning centre in Scotland to be given a quality assurance award by learndirect scotland.
Chairman of the Scottish University for Industry, Christine Lenihan, came to Grant Street and referred to the ME facilities as a flagship in the North. She is here pictured presenting a plaque marking the event to ME chief executive Colin Downie.
She said, “Centres such as this champion best practice and act as a blueprint for others. We are extremely encouraged by the high standards being set here and the quality that keeps learners coming back for more.” Mr Downie said that this achievement was down to ME’s staff and directors, past and present. Through learndirect scotland’s free phone helpline, people can access 70,000 learning opportunities throughout Scotland.
