Hi there!
Now that the festive season is well behind us things are getting into gear at mp33.
The 14+ Girls’ Group had a day out in Glasgow, and the following weekend - Sunday 2nd February - the lads were looking forward to a day fishing at Rothiemurchus - rods supplied if needed to those who don’t have their own.
Last summer angling proved to be very popular with the boys - we’ll see if it’s just as enjoyable in the depths of winter!
Roni is planning a Learning Day sometime in March with lots of information about who can provide what in the way of learning. The date is not fixed yet, but keep in touch or pop in to mp33 for further info on this and any of our other activities.
And if there is anything you are particularly interested in, let us know.
See you soon.All at mp33, Jan / Feb 2003
OPERATING from mp33 on a weekly basis are the following:

GLASGOW belongs to them! Kisty and Caroline, pictured above, took members of the Girls’ Group on a day out to Glasgow on the train on Saturday 24th January for a shopping trip.
Everyone had a good time - and it took them a couple of days to recover from pounding round St Enoch Centre and the Buchanan Street Galleries and all the delights of Sauchiehall Street!

YOUNG people from mp33 are going to be among those taking part in a charity fashion show next month.
The idea came from Mrs Bette McArdle who is raising money for research into the health of women and babies. She had seen the girls taking part in a beauty and fashion course last year and suggested the idea of the show to mp33, who were very enthusiastic. Support is also coming from Eden Court’s outreach staff and youth workers from Community Education.
The date and venue have not yet been confirmed, but it is likely to be mid to late March.
Letters seeking support have gone out to clothes shops and hire companies in Inverness and the replies are starting to come back. Some have said no on the grounds that they have their own charity events, but others have been happy to offer their help.
More details next month…
Calling all mums and grans! It is hoped to do a Retro display during the show - so if there’s anyone out there with gear that is obviously from the ’60s, ’70s, or even earlier and you are willing to lend it for a day or so, please get in touch on 717639.
A NEW drop-in session for young men and women in the 17+ age group is starting on Monday mornings between 9.30am and 1pm. The general idea is that participants can get an idea of what courses and other learning opportunities are available. Young children welcome!
