TENANTS in Glendoe Terrace have been invited by housing officials to a meeting to discuss environmental improvements and the installation of CCTV cameras. The meeting has been called in response to a petition from residents who were concerned that cabling had been put in for cameras without any consultation. The venue is Merkinch Community Centre on Monday 3rd July starting 7pm.
THE annual Spring Clean took place at Carnarc Point despite driving rain. Some eight youngsters turned up to aid the Community Council stalwarts. “The great thing,” said one, “was that there were no mattresses or fridges; it was all just crisp packets and sweet wrappers and the sort of litter you find anywhere.”
