FOLLOWERS of around nine or 10 different styles of martial arts operating in the Inverness area have indicated an interest in the Welfare Hall as a dedicated centre for Martial Arts. Sandy Dunbar told News & Views that his Tae Kwondo group is currently based in the Longman and others are elsewhere.
“We would be happy to share, using moveable jigsaw mats, and the boxing club could join us too,” he said. Local groups are holding a Martial Arts Festival in Inverness Sports Centre in November to raise money for local charities.
