THE Tool Club, which recently expanded from South Kessock to encompass the entire Greater Merkinch area, is growing sure and steady, say the organisers. Based at 31 Craigton Avenue, the club is looking for:

• volunteers to help be a presence on regular basis
• anyone with tools they no longer want but would be happy to see put to fruitful use.

The organisers say that when more people join – at a membership fee of £5 – they will consider keeping tools at Merkinch Community Centre so there is not so far to go to fetch them. Latest high-profile group to join the Tool Club is Merkinch Primary which is presently developing a school garden (see Out of School on page 12).
