TEENAGERS who attend Inverness High School have a marvellous programme of activities on offer this summer, organised by the Community Education department in association with the New Community School project and mp33.
Those who are between 13 and 16 inclusive and who fancy trying watersports can have a day out at Loch Morlich, canoeing, sailing, windsurfing or kayaking - on July 3rd, 19th July, and 31st July. Or whitewater rafting in the Great Glen on 9th August.
But if fishing is more your bag there is rainbow trout fishing at Tarvie where the fish can weigh up to 15lbs!
Or how about a trip to M&D’s Theme Park, the biggest fun fair in Scotland just south of Glasgow, on 10th July?
A gondola trip to the Nevis Range, a visit to Fort William’s Cybernet Cafe and go-karting is planned on 12th July and it’s quad bikes, tubing and deval karts at the Lecht on the 17th.
Another trip, to the tropical rainforests and undersea tunnels of Dynamic Earth followed by a visit to Edinburgh Zoo is pencilled in for 24th July, while it’s Glasgow on the 2nd August to see Scotland’s newest interactive exhibition at the Glasgow Science Park and the IMAX Cinema.
Closer to home, you can try a wide range of fun outdoor activities at Fairburn Outdoor Centre on 26th July, and if you have always fancied getting really mucky in the woods, then paint-balling in Elgin should fit the bill on 7th August.
For all activities the fee of £4 covers transport, lunch and equipment hire.
