Enterprise lads up for grabs

TWO of the staff at Merkinch Enterprise are to be auctioned off to help raise money for Kirk Care in Lower Kessock Street. Training officers Gordon Nairne and Ian Street have put themselves up for… who knows what unspecified fate.

The supported housing complex is holding its annual Garden Fete on Saturday 6th July from 2-4pm. Said Susan Simpson, who runs the complex, “There will be all the usual stalls, a barbecue, piping, face-painting and a plant stall as well as a raffle and tombola.”

Kirk Care has 36 flats for people over 60 - 12 of them receive enhanced service in the way of having meals provided and domestic support. Altogether the complex has a staff of 10. Residents organise a number of activities and events for themselves over the year, and their summer fete is always popular.
So far, we understand, the name of the person who will open the event is a secret. And quite what the successful bidders hope to buy into with Gordon and Ian is anybody’s guess. As long as you bring them back for 9am Monday, Merkinch Enterprise pleads....
