HAVING A RAIL GOOD TIME

The kids from Building Blocks Nursery (NCH-Action for Children), at Quayside Court, were given a treat on Tuesday 2nd June, when the childcare workers and helpers organised a trip by train to the Muir of Ord. The 12 three year old’s left the nursery by mini bus and having arrived at the train station in town were guided round the station before boarding the train.

Kids at railway station

Gillian Jhallis, the Scot Rail Welcome Host, told them all about the history of the railways and even got the guard to blow his whistle for the children - which not only made the 12 three year old’s jump three feet high but also your News and Views co-ordinator, believe you me it was loud! Gillian also presented the kids with a play and information pack before they boarded the train which was destined for the Kyle of Lochalsh. Unfortunately, at this point, your News and Views co-ordinator had to abandon the expedition as duty called, but I am assured that the Building Block youngsters had a rail fun time.
