EMPLOYERS have an opportunity to say what skills they are looking for when they take someone new on, thanks to the creation of a new post which supports the Action Team. Caron Rowley, the client liaison officer for the Action Team project, who is based at the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations and funded by the Employment Services and the ESF, will be getting out and about to speak to as many employers as she can about their needs and to try to match them with those available in the potential workforce.
Caron is acting as the outreach arm of the Action Team which is accessible at mp33 as well as other venues in the city. They can offer very flexible assistance to give people every chance of getting back into work.
Caron is holding a presentation day on 12th June at the Netley Centre, behind the Highland Hospice, starting 10.30am and representatives from organisations as well as the interested public are welcome. She is also willing to give short talks to interested groups on the work of the Action Team project - ring 07718 526 023 for details.
