Bon voyage to Big John

Big John

OFF to pastures new in the south soon is a well-known face in Merkinch, John Livingston of Maclennan Gardens. A committee member of the Tool Club, he helps man it two days a week and he is also a member of Maclennan Crescent Residents Association.
John first came to Inverness 19 years ago with his job in British Rail. He was 28 years on the railways before retiring early a few years back for health reasons. But that has not stopped him pursuing his sporting interest in bowling.

A member of Merkinch Indoor Bowling Club, he also plays outdoor bowls at Fraser Park. Now in his early 60s and and a widower, John is off to Newcastle to stay with his sister until he finds a place of his own. He will be much missed and his many friends and acquaintances wish him all the best in his new home.
