CONDOLENCES have gone out from the Merkinch community to the Corbett family on the death of Mrs Isa Corbett of Kessock Road. She died suddenly but peacefully in Raigmore on 20th May, aged 77, after a short illness.

Mrs Corbett’s much respected late husband, Councillor Dan Corbett, represented Merkinch on various local authorities. They had five sons and two daughters: Brian, Tommy, Isobel, Evelyn, Peter (who has followed his late father into local authority service), Billy and the late Donnie.
Mrs Corbett also leaves a sister, Janet, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The well-attended funeral took place at Trinity Church on Saturday 25th May.
