YOUNG Freddie Adam of Rosehaugh Avernue has a brand-new set of wheels, thanks to the generosity of some folk from Alexandria, near Glasgow.

Freddie (9), who suffers from a rare chromosome disorder, enjoys nothing better than riding a bike. So his parents Graham and Pam had been trying to raise the cost of the special trike - around £600 - which Freddie needs - when they received an email offering them a Trike TMX. The one thing that the donors insisted on was anonymity! The family is well-known in Merkinch, for Graham is a volunteer driver at the community centre - and the couple also deliver News & Views in the Thornbush Road/ Coronation Road area.
