GOOD to hear that Merkinch film-maker Garry Grant of Celtic Broadcasting Ltd continues to go from strength to strength. What’s more we are all going to be able to see his latest success.
For his 30-minute documentary, entitled “The Other Loch Ness Monster” is to be screened on BBC Scotland TV on Wednesday 15 March .
This is Garry’s second major success – a previous historical production which he edited – “Garlogie Power House” - received a medal at the New York International Television Festival. This video is still running daily at Garlogie Museum, Aberdeenshire.
Garry has now edited over a dozen award-winning productions, and satisfied clients include Walt Disney, North of Scotland Museum Services, RAI the Italian TV network, NBC, Channel Five, Ora Electrics as well as numerous feature films and other international broadcasters.
Obviously Garry’s work takes him all around the world, but he always likes to come home to Merkinch where his family still stay.
A former pupil of Merkinch School, Garry was runner-up to the dux in 1978.
Congratulations Garry – we’ll all be looking out for your programme in a couple of weeks!
