THE environmental improvements to Grant Street are finally finished with new pavement and bollards being introduced between Nicol's and the Post Office on the Lochalsh Road corner to deter parking where it is a hazard to through traffic. And if you thought not much had happened to the any-day-now Thornbush Road scheme, the roads staff (at time of going to press) had already been out measuring up where the various traffic-calming features are to be positioned and work had started.
