Uisdean all set for Aquadome
ALL
set to take part in the Highland Disability Sport swimming championships in the
Aquadome on 7th March is Merkinch athlete Uisdean Macrae, who will be competing
in the 25 metre breast stroke event. Uisdean says he needs no special training
for competitive swimming as his arm and shoulders are kept in good condition
just getting around in his wheelchair.
However,
he is in training to start defending his Scottish 75 metre sprint championship
title for the 12th time. The 30th May sees the local heats at Queen’s Park,
while the finals will be held at Meadowbank, Edinburgh, in September.
