Latest from mp33
Hi there!
Well the last month has been a busy one here at mp33. Our open evenings
on Tuesdays and Thursdays are proving popular – Tuesday nights are
particularly busy – remember there’s free tea, coffee and biscuits, and good
craic too if you drop in to see us.
Sadly the First Gear course planned in February stalled, because too
many of the participants weren’t able to make it. But the good news is, it is
not cancelled just rescheduled! If other timings – such as weekends, or
evenings – would suit better, just pop in and let us know.
As ever, feel free to drop in for a visit to find out more.
See you.
Gill
LOCAL MP Charles
Kennedy visited the mp33 stand at the recent Jobsfair in Merkinch Community
Centre and stopped to chat for a while.
He was interested to hear about our project and all the activities and
services mp33 offers the area’s young people. He met some of those involved
and promised to visit us in Grant Street soon.
Another Jobsfair is being held in the Townhouse on Friday 2nd March.
ARTIST John Slorach is working with a group from the
Tuesday night Drop-In to produce a double-sided wall-hanging/notice board. We
can’t wait to see the finished work of art!
HAVE
you been excluded from school, or are you just cutting classes?
Drop in at mp33 and see Gill – she can suss out what things you might
like to do and find out what opportunities there are that might interest you.
HAVE

If the answer is
yes, then why not call in at mp33. Every Tuesday from 7-8.30pm we will be taking

FOOTBALL
training, from 8-10pm on Thursday evenings at the Community Centre, is really
taking off but there is still room for more.
If you are interested in seeing a Merkinch team in
the Amateur League and want to get involved, you can register for £1 and take
part in the training. See Cheryl at mp33 to register.
