OVER a period of a few weeks pupils in areas A and B have been involved in making a video about the teaching of mental maths in Merkinch Primary School. Letters have been sent out to all the parents of youngsters concerned.

AREA B recycling centre at MPS is in operation and among the items wanted are all your old plastic ring can carriers, printer/copier or fax machine toner cartridges, outgrown school uniforms including PE shorts and T-shirts.

The school is also collecting Tesco Vouchers for Schools.

FRIDAY 30th March sees Merkinch Primary close  for the Easter holidays at the normal time; it reopens for the summer term on Tuesday 17th April. Inverness High School will also have the same holiday dates.

ON Friday 2nd March presenters from “The Learning Game” will run courses for S4 and S5 pupils. These courses are aimed at helping pupils preparing for the SQA exams which start 14th May.

S5/6 pupils studying for their Highers will be able to take advantage of a week’s study course at Inverness College at Easter.

THANKS have gone to Marks & Spencers for the donation of some pen sets; these are to be presented as prizes for work done in the English Department.
