LAST month our report on the progress at Maclennan Crescent wrongly identified one particular housing association as being involved. For the record, we understand that a number of housing associations are still competing for the work and at time of going to press it had not yet been decided which one would get it. Our apologies.

Recently appointed director at Merkinch Community Centre is local businessman Clair Pieraccini. The directorship became vacant on the death of Morag Soane last year.

People of all ages have been showing quite a bit of interest in the idea of a Singing for Pleasure group in Merkinch. It is hoped that it will start up soon after Easter.

Active Adults thoroughly enjoyed a drumming session with Steven Sharp; they have also been line-dancing and 10-pin bowling recently. Planned for March are the following: 5th - Archery, 12th - Line-dancing, 19th - Dean Melville with an Introduction to Art, and on the 26th - an outing to Made in Scotland, the craft centre and café in Beauly.
