FOLLOWING on from a happy Burns Lunch, the Friendship Club enjoyed a highly successful St Valentine’s Day dinner on the 14th.
Charlie’s chip shop was kept busy preparing the 50 fish suppers which along with fruit cocktail and carrot cake and cream made for a splendid feast, served by the Active Adults group.
Everyone was dressed in black and red for the occasion, and the music for the dancing and the old wartime songs was supplied by the nine-piece Tin Pan Alley.
March events at the Friendship Club, which meets for lunch every Wednesday, include the following: 6th - Bingo; 13th - Children from Merkinch Primary School; 20th - Caroline from Peacock’s Posies talking about spring flowers; 27th - a short bus run to Cromarty. And, of course, everyone is saving like mad for their Spring Fling in Callander which is the weekend of 5th-8th April.
