Fliperz Safe-Play competition success

Kids with MP

LAST month saw Fliperz youngsters receive a top prize in a prestigious competition organised by the Highland Safe Kids Coalition. The contest, run as part of an Aquadome Playscheme last August, was for children to design their ideal play space as a way of attracting attention to the importance of outdoor activities in children’s development. In the Inverness Courier the children were surprised to find that it didn’t say they came from Fliperz - so this is just to put the record straight! They won the group prize, a £50 cheque, and pictured receiving certificates on behalf of the Simpson’s Lane centre are (from left): Natalie Smith (8), Hannah Low (10) and Amy Marshall (10). Also pictured is Inverness MP David Stewart who presented the prizes at a ceremony at the Aquadome. The competition was sponsored by Halfords and the Child Accident Prevention Trust Safe Kids Campaign.
