MARIE Curie Cancer Care help people with cancer but they could not do their work without your support.
This year you will see boxes in shops all around Inverness and in Merkinch as well as throughout the Highlands and Islands. You are asked to take a Daffodil and make a donation. Please make this as much as you can.
A street collection will take place in the Eastgate Pedestrian Precinct on Saturday 20th March.
The charity has a national network of Marie Curie Cancer Care Nurses who provide practical nursing care at home for people with cancer. In the Highlands there are 168 Marie Curie Cancer Care nurses who last year provided almost 10,000 hours of practical nursing care for cancer sufferers. It also has special centres, funds research and helps train doctors and other health care workers.
Marie Curie Cancer Care does not charge for any of its services. That is why it is crucial you show your support by giving as much as you can.
Daffodils are the chosen emblem of the charity because the flower is an international symbol of hope.
