THE Friendship Club at the Community Centre has taken on a new lease of life recently. The Wednesday lunch club for older folk has already had in April a couple of bingo sessions with Sandy and a talk on Old Inverness by local history enthusiast Sheila Mackay.
Planned for this month is an outing to Kyle of Lochalsh on the train on the 24th with lunch at a local hotel and a wander round the village in the afternoon for those who want to, if the weather is fine. It is hoped that local children will be able to entertain on the 17th, though that was still to be confirmed at time of going to press. Bingo and a sing-song accounts for the other Wednesdays in May.
So if you fancy a meal out with friends and you would like to try out the Friendship Club Elsie Normington says, "Ring us on 239563 and you can book a good hot meal at a knockdown price!" Well, who can resist a bargain like that.
Watch this space for June dates!
