THE Upper Kessock Street parking area, off Lochalsh Road, has been getting its long-awaited tidy-up at last.
Workmen have erected new green wire fencing and a gate to prevent speeding cyclists etc going through the area.
This move follows considerable effort on the part of Merkinch Traders, local councillors and the area’s housing association. We’d have taken a picture, but green wire fencing isn’t too photogenic!

Washing green provision is still awaited.
Further along Lochalsh Road building work is starting on the vacant site next to St Michael’s.
