Hi there!
There’s not a lot of definite news from last month - what with the Easter holidays - wasn’t the weather marvellous - and Roni being off and Caroline being unwell.
However we’re all back in action now and planning the summer programme.
In the meantime the fishing trips are proving successful. If there’s anyone else out there who would be interested to come along and try their hand at angling, just contact us at No33 Grant Street. And if any experienced anglers would like to come along and lend a hand, they are also most welcome.
The trampolining is currently off just now, due to the High School facility being out of action due to damage.
As always, if you want to know more about what we have to offer, just drop in. See you soon.

THE Escape Group start working on the Ossian project on 5th November. Based at the Community Centre, this involves using video cameras to identify history and culture themes. Last month the group went to the exhibition in Inverness Museum and met artist Gavin Lockhart. The group will be working with Gavin and Robin Bailey, an outreach worker from the National Gallery in Edinburgh, who toured the show.
On 18th October some members of the group escaped to Fairburn outdoor activity centre and thoroughly enjoyed themselves taking part in archery, rope games, the death slide and tree-climbing. “We hope there weren’t too many aching bones the next day,” says Roni.
A PILOT scheme for Young Tenants is being launched at the Show House in Craigton Avenue on 6th May. Participants have already been selected for the first 8-week programme which is to be held in the Show House, one morning a week.
The scheme is being run jointly by Young Tenants housing officer Lynda Lockwood and Roni Smith of mp33.
Among the topics to be covered will be advice on how to deal with money and the various financial problems that can crop up with young tenants, DIY, healthy eating and cooking on a budget, tenants’ rights and “You and the Law”, leisure pursuits including crafts, and networking.
It is hoped that this pilot project - if it proves successful - can be extended.

WINNERS of the mp33 quiz will be announced next month.
HERE, as promised last month, are a few shots from backstage at the recent charity fashion show put on by various girls’ and young women’s groups associated with mp33.
Clothes were donated and lent by various local shops and hire establishments in the city and the wedding dresses were lent by Eden Court. Many thanks to all who took part, came along on the night, and otherwise helped to make the event a success. RIGHT: The Goths’ outfits were particularly popular - especially with the models!

ABOVE: Just checking! One of the wedding guests just has to make sure he is suitably attired before he goes up on that catwalk...
