MERKINCH Arms could be reopening before Christmas. According to the Glasgow agents who are handling the sales of the Grant Street pub, closure on a sale is expected very soon, though no details are forthcoming as to the new owner. It is a year on 9th November since the doors of the Merkinch Arms closed.

November 7th sees Jill Harden talk about the work done by the National Trust; dominoes, draughts and darts dominate on the 14th and on the 16th there is a Friday night meal and entertainment at the Centre.
