MERKINCH Enterprise, normally so well-groomed and immaculately turned out, appeared at work in jeans one day last month - but it was all in a good cause.

The staff - all but Gordon who was on holiday, and the newsletter co-ordinator who claims not to have a pair - turned up for work in their denims on 4th October and were stars for the day in aid of National Jeans for Genes Day which works for babies born with genetic disorders. Altogether they raised over £50. Pictured with chief executive Colin Downie, centre, are Ian, Kerry, Claire and Russell.
