EARLIER this year the children of Fliperz Nursery set out on a charity Pedal Push round and round the centre in a variety of wheeled vehicles.
A total of 26 children aged 3 or 4 took part over two sessions during the day and the parents on their behalf raised just over £613.67 for this event.
Last month a cheque for £300 was presented to Stephanie Mackenzie (pictured centre) from the Childrens Ward of Raigmore Hospital, watched by Fliperz manager Denise Mutch (back, right). The remainder will be utilised in essential toys and equipment for the Fliperz Centre.
Fliperz, a subsidiary of Merkinch Enterprise, has been operating from the Merkinch Hall in Simpsons’ Lane (previously known as the Old Salvation Army) since 1996 and now offer all day childcare, nursery sessions and out-of-school care including holiday cover throughout the year.
“It’s thanks to the dedication of the staff and the valuable contribution by all parents that have brought about this success for children so young to achieve”, said Colin Downie, Chief Executive of Merkinch Enterprise.
