INVERNESS Woman’s Aid, now well settled in at their new premises at 2 Anderson Street, is opening its doors to a wider range of women. It is said that one Scottish woman in five suffers some form of abuse, but not all are clear what they want to do about it, if anything. At Women’s Aid you can get advice and support or even if you want to find someone who will simply listen to your problems without passing judgement - or maybe you just want a blether, some company and a cuppa. “Call into the refuge between 12 and 2pm any Monday and Wednesday and we’ll make a brew,” say the staff.
