At a recent Closed Circuit Television meeting, held on 7th October in the Town Hall, chaired by Chris Claridge of Highland Council, representatives from the Merkinch area included, Grant Street Traders Chairperson Mr Clair Pieraccini and Secretary James Smith, Mrs Ann MacCreadie, Secretary of the Merkinch Community Council and Dell McClurg, Chairperson of the Community Council.

After a long discussion it was decided to obtain a new costing of all the proposals with Grant Street putting in it’s own bid.

The ideas put forward for consideration are strongly supported by Chief Superintendent Ramsay McGhee, Area Police Commander.
