THE AGM of Merkinch Enterprise was set to take place on Tuesday 26th September after we went to press.
The organisation's annual report reveals that although the new millennium had brought numerous staff changes with half a dozen long-standing members of staff departing for pastures new, these posts had been filled by new faces with similar dedication and enthusiasm for the charity's aims.
Targets had been met and surpassed and only the Job & Information Service had seen a decline – this was undoubtedly due to the Employment Service's changing their system of job information access.
Two Board members are required to retire each year – this year it was Barbara Jamison and Helen Geddes. Barbara has now moved out of the area and was presented with a beautiful silver photograph frame.
Helen has agreed to re-offer herself for service and Kath MacLennan who left Merk-inch Enterprise's staff earlier this year is to return as a Board member.
