Attenders get stuck into studying

News from the Corbett Centre by Michael Bolster

THE Open Day on 23rd August was very well attended and we raised over £1000 for the Corbett Centre funds. Daniel O’Donnell was well received by the attenders as well as the public, and many received his autograph and had their photo taken with him.

A number of attenders have begun courses at Inverness College in various subjects. These include Cooking, Literacy and Numeracy, and Music Therapy.

Several attenders are working through the Open University “Working as Equal People” course - a previous group received certificates for this.

Early this month the art group is travelling to the Royal Scottish Academy in Edinburgh to see the much-praised exhibition of paintings by Claude Monet entitled “The Seine and the Sea”.
