Enterprise clocks up another good year

MERKINCH Enterprise achieved or surpassed the majority of its targets in the last year, Chief Executive Colin Downie told the charity’s 11th AGM on 16th September.

The organisation had branched out into a slightly different direction, project management - but still within its remit of benefiting the wider community - and Project Officer Brian Macleod had been appointed in June.

Overheads had come down, but despite an increase in income there had been a slight shortfall financially compared to last year. However, for an organisation of this sort, it was “not always a good idea” to make a profit.

Director Madeline Grant was re-elected to the Board of Directors, where she rejoined Helen Geddes (chairperson), Clair Pieraccini (vice-chairperson) and Ross MacGillivray (treasurer).
