FREE places may be available at the Open University in Scotland to people on benefits or with very low incomes who wish to further their education. The scheme applies to all Open University undergraduate level courses, except some business, management and law courses.

Eligible to apply are:

• those who have been a registered job-seeker, or
• those whose households receive housing benefit, council tax benefit, income support of working families tax credit with passported benefits, or
• if your only household income is in the form of benefits.

If your household income is low, you may also be eligible. You'll find further information on this in the OU prospectus.
